2 Sep: Authentic Listening I (by Lance Ng)
Have you ever experienced trying to share your life with another, but realised that the other isn’t really listening to you? Just as we all have an innate desire to be known and heard, so do the people in our lives, our communities and our ministries desire to be heard. Learning how to actively listen will help us to build relationships – to come out of ourselves and build community in our homes, workplace and in the parish. Come and listen to Lance Ng, a spiritual director at Kingsmead Spirituality Centre, who will be teaching us the art of authentic listening.

16 Sep: Community – Christ’s Way of Discipleship (by Mike Arents)
Walking as a disciple of Jesus Christ can be difficult, and we feel it even more when we try to walk this road of discipleship alone. Have you ever felt that being a disciple was just too difficult for you? You are not alone! But Jesus knew that following him will not be easy, and thus he calls us to walk with our fellow brothers and sisters in community. He called a community of twelve men to be his first disciples, and these disciples went on to form more communities wherever they proclaimed God’s word. Come and listen to why community is Christ’s way of discipleship and personal anecdotes.

23 Sep: Ministry & Mission (by Mike Arents)
Have you ever felt a stirring in your heart towards a greater mission? Sometimes as we grow comfortable serving in the parish ministry we are serving in, we lose the sense of the greater call. Are lectors just called to read? Are wardens merely called to direct traffic? Are choirs just called to sing? The Lord has great dreams for us and calls us to be vessels in building his kingdom – He calls us to a deeper mission, a deeper calling. Come and discover the deeper calling and mission in your ministry

30 Sep: Ministry & Growth (by Celine Arents)
Have you experienced growth in your spiritual life as you serve in different parish ministries? Or do you feel like serving in ministry has become more of a routine, a burden and just a form of service? Come and learn how we can transform our ministries into places of growth so that as we serve the wider parish community, we too can experience rejuvenation and growth in our spiritual lives.
