THE WAY OF LIGHT: STATIONS OF THE RESURRECTION

Jesus is resurrected, bringing joy and the promise of new life. The Via Lucis — the Way of Light — is a devotion similar to the Via Crucis — the Way of the Cross. The Way of the Cross follows Jesus’ last hours of anguish and death. The Way of Light, also known as the Stations of the Resurrection, celebrates the fifty days of Easter, the most joyful time in the Christian calendar. Using the metaphor of a journey, the Way of Light moves from the experience of darkness and suffering to one of light and hope.

Come join us every Thursday in Eastertide, 7.15pm for our Outdoor Stations of the Resurrection. Meet outside Kindergarten. All are welcome!

Lenten Offering

At all the Lent weekend Masses, parishioners will be given a ‘Lenten Offering’ card. Prayerfully commit to your personal Lenten sacrifice – ideally one for each of the three pillars of Prayer, Fasting, Almsgiving. The completed card will be collected at the end of the Mass. Make a note of your commitment and faithfully fulfill them for the week(s) ahead.

Prayer Note For Our Elect/Candidates

Let us spiritually accompany our RCIA and RCIY Elect/Candidates preparing for the Easter sacraments by picking a name and praying daily for the person. As a way of welcoming him/her into God’s family, you may wish to drop a prayer note in the box provided in the Church, with the recipient’s name indicated by Palm Sunday. All notes will be collected and given at Easter. Let this be our collective Easter gift to welcome our brothers and sisters in Christ into the Church.

Prayer cards are available at the icon of our Blessed Mother and at the back of the Church.

2024 Lenten Reflection Booklet

We hope that the reflections in this booklet will help prepare our hearts and minds for the Word this Lenten season, becoming witnesses of Christ’s love.

Parish Recollection 2023

In the Book of Genesis, we are reminded of a profound question that God asks Adam and Eve: “Where are you?” (Genesis 3:9). This question, though directed at our first ancestors, continues to echo through the ages, reaching our hearts today.

In our busy lives, it is easy to lose sight of where we truly are in relation to God. God’s question resonates with a gentle invitation to pause, reflect, and reorient ourselves towards him. Come and find rest in the Lord as Deacon Sherman Kuek leads us through a reflection of the Joyful Mysteries and what this mystery says to us about our Catholic life. Registration closes on Fri 13 Oct.
